Let’s see an example where a pharmacist has a positive interaction with a patient who is hesitant to get the vaccine. As the pharmacist moves through the ASORT process, notice how he:

  1. Asks the patient if she has been vaccinated
  2. Solicits her main concern about the vaccine
  3. Offers to address the patient’s primary concern
  4. Recommends the vaccine
  5. And plans to Try again later in case the patient changes her mind
